Working with correct posture
Back problems and neck and shoulder pain are unfortunately all too common amongst dentists, due to them adopting incorrect posture for so much of the working day. For this reason, Eurodent has analysed in-depth the physical nature of dental work, in order to design dental units and chairs that ensure ergonomic posture, with a view to keeping your back as healthy as possible.
Eurodent: leveraging 60 years of experience
Eurodent has a justified reputation for blazing new trails in the world of dentistry. The first pantograph chair, instruments on balanced arms and the Isotron dental unit by Giugiaro Design – these are just some of the innovations from Eurodent, which focuses a great deal of time and resources on achieving unrivalled ergonomics and comfort.
Seated or standing, your posture is correct
It is important to have a natural, relaxed posture, whether you’re working seated or standing. Eurodent dental chairs, which can be flexibly adjusted in terms of height and depth, adapt easily to the stature and individual requirements of every dentist.
Ergonomic features as standard
To guarantee healthy posture, all Eurodent dental units come complete with ergonomic features as part of the basic configuration.
The lowest position allows you to adopt a natural posture if the patient is seated during treatment. This is particularly useful for dentists who are small in stature.
Comfortable even when standing
The highest position allows you to treat patients in the horizontal position while you are standing, even if you are taller than 5’9” (1.80 m).
The tilted-back Trendelenburg position allows the patient to adopt a comfortable posture that is also helpful for the dentist.
The space under the patient’s chair is available for use by the dentist and the dental assistant. As a result, you have plenty of space in which to put your legs, enabling you to sit in a more relaxed position. Your work will thus require less effort and will, therefore, be more efficient.
The right position for the patient
Thanks to the balanced relationship between the inclination of the back and the lowering of the footrest, the patient maintains a position that is always ergonomically correct. In addition, the Trendelenburg position prevents the excessive bending and straightening of the patient’s body as he or she adjusts his or her back.
Optimum position for the patient
Thanks to the perfectly balanced relationship between the inclination of the back and the lowering of the footrest, your patients will always have an ergonomically correct posture. In addition, the Trendelenburg position prevents the excessive bending and straightening of the patient’s body as he or she adjusts his or her back.
The surgical padding increases the surface volume of the chair and adapts to the patient’s build. Moreover, it provides correct anatomical support and excellent comfort, encouraging the relaxation of the patient, especially during long dental sessions.
For patients of all statures
Eurodent chairs keep the patient in the optimum position at all times, regardless of his or her stature – no excessive stretching, compression of the abdominal muscles or arching of the back, even in children.
Always properly positioned
A relaxed patient helps you to work more effectively. The double-jointed headrest allows the patient to adopt a comfortable, compression-free position, regardless of the inclination of his or her spine or of his or her specific anatomical characteristics.
The wide stroke and perfect balance of the arms make it easy to achieve the best working position. The Eurodent balanced arm gives the instrument a pleasing sensation of weightlessness and ensures excellent lateral mobility of the hand piece.
Optimized reaching distances
The dentist element can be adjusted in terms of its oscillation and height, and with the ergonomic handle it can be positioned precisely where you want it.
Good posture for the assistant
The assistant element is height-adjustable, ensuring healthy, relaxed, ergonomic operations at all times, whether the assistant is working standing up or sitting down.
Maximum radius of movement
The dentist element can be located in the optimum position for all types of treatment, thanks to the compactness of the delivery system and the length of the hoses.
Pedal controls with no muscle contraction
The Eurodent pedal control functions with movements of the foot to the left and right (rather than up and down). This makes it possible to use the controls even while standing without having to contract the foot muscles, thus enabling perfect ergonomics.
A perfect view
The Eurodent light makes the most of state-of-the-art LED technology to ensure optimum illumination, an excellent view and the best possible conditions under which to work.
A perfect view
The Eurodent light makes the most of state-of-the-art LED technology to ensure optimum illumination, an excellent view and the best possible conditions under which to work. The beam of light is natural white, and the illumination is even and of the highest quality. The controls (on, off, switching) are simple and contactless, and can also be operated through the dentist element of the dental unit.
